KWAR’s 2nd Annual #KWRealtorRun Raises $15,000 For Four Local Shelter-Based Charities
Kitchener – Waterloo, ON (November 5, 2021) – The Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) is proud to announce it has raised over $15,000 for four local shelter-based charities; A Better Tent City, House of Friendship, Indwell, and Lutherwood. The funds were raised through KWAR’s 2nd annual KW REALTOR® Run. This anytime, anywhere walk or run took place over the week of September 24th to October 1st with the support of 73 participants.
The Realtor Run 5K provides a safe way to give back to the community and feature the places we love in Waterloo Region. Racers were challenged to take photos along their chosen route and share them on social media using #KWRealtorRun. These photos include the many trails, neighbourhoods, and sites in the region and can be viewed on KWAR’s Facebook page @KWREALTORS.
“We know how lucky we are to call Waterloo Region home and we want to make sure we’re building a community that feels like home for everyone. That’s why we are very pleased to support these four local charities who are working hard to do just that.” – Nicole Pohl, KWAR President
KWAR would like to thank our 2021 Realtor Run sponsors, Paquette Travers, ShowingTime, Pillar To Post Home Inspectors and Rabideau Law, who helped to make this year a success!
